Who Are We?

Horner & Shifrin is a multi-discipline consulting engineering firm founded in 1933, with a headquarters office in St. Louis, Missouri, and a branch office in O'Fallon, Illinois. We have a highly qualified staff of professionals and support personnel specifically trained and experienced to provide you, our client, with the best possible project results on projects in Missouri and Illinois and throughout the Midwest.

Horner & Shifrin is a 100 percent employee-owned corporation, managed by its officers and directors. It has no proprietary interest in any other corporation, firm, company or subsidiary or in any equipment or process. As a result, you the client are assured of a quality product, since each of our staff members has a personal interest in your satisfaction and continued business.

What Do We Do?

Horner & Shifrin offers engineering services in all phases of a project, including planning, development, design and construction surveillance. Our clients include city, county, state and federal government agencies, industries, utilities and commercial enterprises. We can provide comprehensive services for your entire project or individual elements such as planning, design, construction surveillance or operations assistance.

Our company provides civil engineering services for the design of wastewater or water treatment plants and/or collection or distribution systems, flood protection, storm drainage, pump stations, roads, highways, bridges, grade separations for railroads, airports, port facilities, and industrial and business park developments.

In addition, we provide mechanical and electrical engineering services, including plumbing; fire protection; heating, ventilation and air conditioning; energy audits and energy conservation; electrical distribution and backup power supply; lighting and alarm systems.

How Successful Are We?

Over 85 percent of our clients are repeat customers. We believe client satisfaction is the single most important aspect of our business; therefore, we are dedicated to providing personalized service along with the highest quality designs that are cost-effective, delivered on time and based on the allocated construction budget.
