Facility was designed to complement adjacent residential subdivision
Design includes boat bay for department's marine resuce unit
Attractive design features economical exterior finishes

Choate Dining Hall

Horner & Shifrin prepared plans and specifications for the Life Skills building at Choate Mental Health Center that include replacement of existing windows with new double-hung thermal glazed windows with security screens, replacement of existing doors with hollow metal insulated doors with steel frames and installation of heating equipment for conversion from steam heat to hot water system. The scope also included adding the Life Skills building to the existing energy management system for better control. New acoustical lay-in grid ceiling was also installed with new light fixtures.
