Horner & Shifrin designed improvements to approximately three-quarters of a mile of Cypress Road from St. Charles Rock Road to Interstate 70 in St. Louis County. Improvements included two lanes of traffic in each direction with a continuous center left turn lane and enclosed drainage. Two intersecting streets, Cypress Village Drive and Cypress Gardens Court, were realigned and traffic signals added at their intersection with Cypress Road. Intersections and existing traffic signals at St. Charles Rock Road and the eastbound I-70 on-ramp also were improved. The project also includes 4,000 feet of storm sewers.

Services provided by Horner & Shifrin included surveys; right-of-way plans; geometric intersection design and warping for 5 intersections; preparation of construction documents and estimates; traffic handling plans; and coordination with MoDOT, the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and utilities. The project was designed in metric units.
