![]() Exposed steel framing in cafeteria is used as key aesthetic treatment Triad High School is an entirely new campus designed for 1,500 students. Facilities include classrooms, full kitchen and serving area, administrative offices, two gymnasiums with locker rooms, a working stage with a counter-weighted pipe rail scenery system and a wrestling room. The buildings total 189,400 square feet. Outdoor facilities include track and field facilities, football, soccer and baseball/softball fields.
Ceilings carry open-air aesthetic themeAs a subconsultant, Horner & Shifrin was responsible for the analysis and design of all structural systems including the seismic analysis and design. Steel framing was utilized in the design of all the buildings. Wind and seismic resistance were provided by braced steel frames. Exterior walls were engineered steel stud and masonry or steel stud and EIFS systems.
