Jackson Municipal Utility; Jackson, MOMunicipal, Government and Public Works Horner & Shifrin provided engineering services for the conversion of two circuits from 4160V to 12,470V, including the replacement of all 4160V transformers with dual-voltage transformers and all related hardware and insulators. H&S conducted a survey of all pole locations; all poles were replaced for clearance, and 336 ACSR conductor was used. The replacement of 4160V underground primary with 12,470V cable required the rebuilding and reconductoring of ¼-mile of double-circuit copper conductor, and the coordination of substation exits for the two circuits from the new substation.
