Safer Route A/Route 61 Bridge
Open to Traffic

Construction is now complete on the Horner & Shifrin-designed Route A / Route 61 Bridge near Flint Hill in St. Charles County, MO, for the Missouri Department of Transportation.

The bridge has been widened from 40 to 80 feet, going from one eastbound lane and two westbound lanes to two eastbound lanes, three westbound lanes and a left-turn lane. Horner & Shifrin Project Manager Duane Siegfried, P.E., S.E., stated, “These improvements allow traffic to move more quickly and safely across the bridge.”
