Horner & Shifrin Helping Ste. Genevieve Improve Sanitary Sewer System Management

Horner & Shifrin, Inc., has completed one of the first Capital, Management, Operation and Maintenance (CMOM) programs in the state of Missouri for the City of Ste. Genevieve, MO. The CMOM program will enable the City to create the schedule and budget by which capital and operations and maintenance improvements to the collection system will be implemented.

According to Horner & Shifrin Project Manager Jeremey Lay, “A well-developed CMOM program helps municipalities more effectively manage collection systems and reduce sanitary sewer overflow issues. The CMOM program developed for Ste. Genevieve aides the City in budgeting, establishing sewer rates and impact fees, and more accurately estimating the level of effort for operations and maintenance requirements within the collection system.”
