Construction Begins on Access Road
for New Casino Complex in Lemay, MO

The construction phase has begun on two bridges and a 1,725-foot- long access road designed by Horner & Shifrin for Pinnacle Entertainment’s new casino complex in Lemay, Missouri.

The two new structures will cross Kayser Creek (2 spans) and the Union Pacific Rail Road (6 spans). Each will accommodate four lanes of traffic and a sidewalk.  “Horner & Shifrin designed the 1,725-foot-long approach roadway to be constructed on a lightweight cellular concrete fill embankment contained within precast wall panels,” said Horner & Shifrin Project Manager Gino Bernardez. “By using the cellular concrete fill, the soil conditions were significantly improved, and the potential for soil settlement was minimized.”
