Overview
Horner & Shifrin provided engineering design for the overlay, drainage, and sidewalks on Warson Road in the City of Ladue. We also managed the preparation of TIP and ARRA grant applications for $1.02 million in improvements, including identifying the aspects of the proposed project to include in the applications that would provide the optimum number of points to help ensure a successful result.
The project consisted of pavement milling and overlay to improve overall pavement conditions and remove significant rutting in some areas. New ADA-compliant sidewalks were added along the route to provide safe access for pedestrians and new concrete curbs and asphalt swales were added to 1.8 mile stretch of the two-lane roadway. Drainage improvements included new storm sewers and water quality Best Management Practices (BMPs).
