Professional Land Surveyor
Horner & Shifrin is seeking a full-time Professional Land Surveyor to work in our Geomatics business unit. This position requires 5+ years of experience.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Assist the Geomatics (GIS and Survey) Division with a variety of data acquisition, processing, and modeling
- Ability to perform ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Construction Staking, Interior/Exterior Scanning for educational, emergency services, energy, industrial, government, healthcare, private, and transportation (DOT’s) organizations
- Ability to review and perform all parts of a survey project, including but not limited to procurement, research, field work, calculations, preparation of property descriptions and plats
- Ability to perform Aerial (UAS), Mobile and Terrestrial LiDAR data acquisition, conventional survey field collection, along with data reduction
- Ability to produce detailed drawings of existing, as built, and/or recorded features, and create DTM’s. utilizing Civil 3D/Revit and/or MicroStation/Open Roads programs
- Maintain and adhere to QA/QC procedures and note taking along with maintaining office and field project material
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Licensed Arkansas Professional Land Surveyor or ability to obtain within six (6) months
- Licensed Illinois and/or Missouri Professional Land Surveyor or ability to obtain (preferred)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Field visits on rough terrain per project needs.
- Proficient in the use of MicroStation/Civil3D
- Knowledge of Revit/Open Roads
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must complete a background check
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Associate’s or two-year degree in Drafting Technology (preferred)
SALARY RANGE:
Salary will be commensurate with experience
