Overview
Horner & Shifrin provided engineering design services to accommodate St. Louis Medical Professionals, LLC and their growing practice. The office houses six physicians, led by Hany Salama, MD, and offers a wide range of healthcare services. The new building is a two-story, 16,000 square foot Medical Office and Diagnostic Center. The building includes a sleep laboratory, office spaces, radiology, laboratory, general examination rooms and support spaces. Other elements to the new space include urgent care, rehabilitation services and patient amenities. Special engineering design considerations were of importance in the sleep laboratory to provide comfort and acoustical treatment to patients. Design elements to provide optimal noise control and minimize sound transmission and vibration from infrastructure components were incorporated.
