Brent Cain Joins Horner & Shifrin’s Water Team
Horner & Shifrin, Inc. is pleased to welcome Brent Cain to the Water group as Project Manager. Brent brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in the water and wastewater sector, making him a valuable addition to the team. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and is both an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) and a Class 1 Wastewater Operator.
Brent’s career includes extensive experience as a superintendent for the City of Marion, Illinois, where he managed both water and wastewater operations. His expertise covers the full project lifecycle—from design through construction—and he has a proven track record in overseeing financial aspects, budgeting, and long-term asset management for public works departments. In his new role, Brent will be responsible for leading water and wastewater projects from concept to completion, collaborating with clients and stakeholders, and supporting the continued growth and innovation of Horner & Shifrin’s Water group.
Brent’s deep understanding of municipal infrastructure, personal investment in project success, and commitment to those he serves make him a natural fit for the evolving needs of our water team. His dedication to proven results aligns with Horner & Shifrin’s mission, vision, and strategic plan.
