The project included 3.6 miles of resurfacing, overhead sign structure rehabilitation, repair of two bridges that cross over the interstate, repairs of five mainline bridges, repairs of two ramp bridges, and one mainline bridge that required a deck replacement.

The project was originally anticipated to take 4 years using staged construction. After analysis of the surrounding roadway network, a full closure was deemed feasible, resulting in an estimated 10-month construction period and cost savings of $14 million. The project was ultimately completed and open to traffic more than a month ahead of that estimated schedule. Congratulations to all consultants involved!
