Jason Dove Joins Horner & Shifrin as Senior Project Manager, Transportation
Horner & Shifrin is pleased to welcome Jason Dove, PE, to our team as Senior Project Manager, Transportation, out of our Chicago office.
Jason brings 30 years of experience in transportation engineering, guiding projects from initial survey work through final construction. Throughout his career, he has managed a wide range of projects for municipal, county, state, and private clients—ranging from locally funded resurfacing efforts to large-scale, award-winning interchange designs for the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and the Illinois Tollway.
His expertise includes leading survey crews, coordinating planning efforts through Context Sensitive Solutions, and directing the design of infrastructure such as tollways, highways, roadways, streetscapes, parking facilities, bike trails, transit stops, roundabouts, and airports. In addition, Jason has managed roadway lighting and utility relocations and spent several years overseeing construction activities in the field.
Jason is a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois and holds both a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He also maintains numerous technical certifications in roadway, railway, and safety engineering.
Active in the professional community, Jason serves as Treasurer for AREMA Committee 1, the Iowa Digital Design & Engineering Applications Group (Board Member), and the Illinois Association of Engineering Technology Professionals (Founding Treasurer), and is involved with the American Public Works Association (APWA) and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
