Horner & Shifrin’s Marion Downtown Square Streetscape project has received an Honor Award at the ACEC Illinois 2025 Engineering Excellence Awards Ceremony! H&S also received some extra hardware, including Judges Choice for the Transportation category and Best Award Graphics! This project beautifully enhances both vehicular and pedestrian infrastructure while preserving the historic charm of downtown Marion. Congratulations to the team for their outstanding work in traffic engineering, walkability enhancements, decorative lighting, and the strategic use of brick and modular pavers.
