MoDOT/IDOT Infrastructure Improvements Receive Grand Prize at America’s Transportation Awards

During the 2019 AASHTO Annual Meeting in St. Louis on October 8th, the Missouri and Illinois Departments of Transportation were presented with the Grand Prize of America’s Transportation Awards. The award recognizes the work of MoDOT, IDOT and their design/construction partners on $801 million of improvements to transportation infrastructure to Downtown St. Louis. This work includes the new Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge and I-70/44 interchange, improvements to the Poplar Street Bridge, and the new land bridge connecting downtown to Gateway Arch National Park.
