Overview
Horner & Shifrin partnered with the City of Kirkwood to reimagine and upgrade the parking lot serving City Hall and the Police Station, making it more functional, accessible, and future-ready for the community. The project focused on maximizing parking, improving safety and lighting, and adding electric vehicle charging stations—supporting both today’s needs and tomorrow’s growth. Covered parking was added for police vehicles, and accessible spaces were upgraded to meet the latest standards, making the lot more welcoming for everyone.
In response to local requirements, the team also incorporated smart stormwater solutions to help protect the environment and manage runoff on site. Throughout the process, Horner & Shifrin worked closely with city staff and contractors to keep the project on track and deliver a space that truly serves Kirkwood’s residents and public servants.
