Overview
The City of Mexico, MO provided Horner & Shifrin with an excel file of pavement inventory data of their entire City to be integrated into a web-based GIS application. While performing integration of the data, we visually found missing sections of pavement that had not been inventoried. The streets shown in blue in the photo above indicate the streets that had not been inventoried. Based on this information the City was able to use tablets in the field and collect the remaining data to complete the pavement inventory. The City is now capable of planning for future improvements to low ranked sections of pavement and budget for replacement or repairs on an annual basis.
