Overview
Horner & Shifrin provided surveying and materials testing services for this repair of levee slide embankment failures. Repair of the sides required the excavation of failed material, processing and lime treatment of the embankment material, and placement of the embankment material in the levee section. H&S was responsible for the field and lab testing of backfill placement for density, moisture, classification, and field sampling of hydrated lime for application quantity verification.
