Overview
Horner & Shifrin was hired by the Illinois Department of Transportation to develop Phase II construction plans for the replacement of the Business Loop 55 structure over Salt Creek south of the City of Lincoln, IL. The structure is a five span, 587ft long, horizontally curved plate girder bridge. Horner & Shifrin’s tasks during Phase I consisted of the type, size and location plans. Phase II consisted of preparing the plans, specifications, and estimates for the construction of the replacement structure.
