Overview

Horner & Shifrin, Inc. performed a boundary and detailed topographic survey for the City of Black Jack, as part of the overall design and construction of the new Norman C. McCourt Park. H&S met the City’s objectives and schedule for the survey, and at all times maintained and updated the City on the project’s progress.

H&S conducted all necessary utility research through Missouri One-Call and utility companies, performed field collection of pertinent features within the designated topographic survey limits with vertical datum based upon published benchmarks of the St. Louis County Benchmark System (formerly MSD Benchmark system). H&S used collection methods, accuracies, and deliverables, that were cost-effective and time saving to accomplish this boundary and topographic survey.

Horner & Shifrin conducted the property research necessary to identify and locate all existing monuments on adjoining parcels and Right-of-Way to establish boundaries in accordance with the current Missouri Standards for an “urban” property survey based on Missouri State Plan Coordinates, East Zone and set any missing property corners. Upon completion the boundary and topographic survey, drawings were submitted to the City of Black Jack, signed and sealed, in PDF format and an electronic .dwg file in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2018 drawing format.
