Ryan Mills Joins Horner & Shifrin as Project Manager
Ryan Mills, PE has joined Horner & Shifrin as Project Manager for Water. Ryan has more than 14 years of experience in environmental engineering, program development and compliance. He has experience as a project manager in stormwater BMPs and SWPPP development, wastewater operations and engineering, and environmental permitting, operations and compliance.
Ryan is a Professional Engineer registered in the state of Arkansas. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kansas and earned a Master of Science degree in Environmental Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus. He is a member of the Water Environment Federation (WEF) Arkansas Section and the American Water Works Association (AWWA) Southwest Section. He is also a member of the City of Fayetteville’s Environmental Action Committee.
Ryan’s passion for environmental engineering stems from a trip to Glacier National Park, where he witnessed the impact industrial operations have on the natural world. Since then, Ryan has dedicated his career to improving industrial practices related to environmental compliance and sustainability.
Ryan spent nearly a decade in the private sector in various roles as an Environmental Program Development, Operations and Engineering Manager for one of the largest freight railroad companies in North America. Subsequently, Ryan worked as a freelance environmental consultant.
