About Brian Pawula, PE, PMP

Brian Pawula is a registered Professional Engineer in Illinois and is a certified Project Management Professional with over 20 years of experience. He is a Project Manager for Phase I and II projects for the Illinois Department of Transportation, the Illinois Tollway, and various Chicagoland counties and municipalities. He has a comprehensive background in urban and rural roadway planning and design, including intersection and interchange design studies, Phase I project reports, public involvement; Phase II preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates, stage construction, and complex maintenance of traffic plans. More recent design experience includes diverging diamond interchanges and award-winning streetscapes.

Extending himself beyond day-to-day engineering, Brian has been volunteering with the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) for a vast majority of his career where he has served in leadership positions and taken special interest in mentoring and training others, government relations and advocacy, and the Illinois Infrastructure Report Card. After graduating from the Illinois Section as Past President, he now serves on the worldwide Leader Training Committee for ASCE National.

Brian and his wife spend their free time chasing around their 4 young boys, building forts, doing crafts, and staying outdoors as much as possible.
