About Mike Banashek, PE, SE

Mike Banashek is Executive Vice President, Technical Operations and Member of the Board of Directors at Horner & Shifrin.  His 25+ year career has focused solely on design and management of bridges and public works structures.  Specialization includes steel, reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, foundations, and seismic design.  Mike’s clients include municipalities, counties, and departments of transportation.  He has managed bridge projects ranging from small box culverts to multi-million dollar design build efforts with multiple structures.  He is licensed in five states, and is a member of ASCE, APWA, and DBIA.

Mike resides in St. Louis County with his wife Cheryl, and sons Brandon and Max.  He enjoys bowling, hiking, cooking, and artistic endeavors.  Mike has been clipping the St. Louis Post Dispatch weatherbird from the newspaper daily since 1978 which puts his collection upward of 14,000.
