H&S Business Unit Leader named 20 to Watch: Women in HVAC

Casey Wilson, PE, LEED AP named 20 to Watch: Women in HVAC by Engineered Systems

Casey Wilson (Business Unit Leader, Building Services) has been included in Engineered Systems Magazine’s list of 20 to Watch: Women in HVAC for 2022. The fourth annual publication highlights the accomplishments and goals of female professionals in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) engineering.

As Business Unit Leader of the Building Services Group, Casey Wilson has 13 years of mechanical engineering experience with project work in science and technology, healthcare, education, recreation, commercial and government facilities. She specializes in HVAC system design, project development, facility assessments construction administration, LEED documentation and client relations.

Casey has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri and is affiliated with the following professional organizations: American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE), Southern Illinois Chapter for Healthcare Engineering (SICHE), and Missouri Society for Healthcare Engineering (MOSHE).

Since being appointed to Business Unit Leader in 2019, Casey has taken on the task of overseeing three engineering disciplines that comprise the Building Services Group (mechanical, electrical, plumbing engineering, and fire protection), as well as managing relationships with internal and external clients. On top of those responsibilities, she has managed to become an expert that her healthcare clients rely on to manage the HVAC requirements in their facilities.

Along with her professional success, Casey has helped make Horner & Shifrin a great place to work for her group and colleagues.
