Overview
Using existing paper maps and digital information from FEMA, Horner & Shifrin developed a web-based GIS solution for Rock Creek Public Sewer District. Using their own mobile devices, we assisted RCPSD maintenance staff in performing an inventory of their existing assets (manholes, cleanouts, pump stations, etc.). This cost-effective solution allows for easy access to sanitary system data, service requests, and rehab status from any device with an internet connection.
Additionally, Horner & Shifrin survey teams conducted RTK GPS centimeter accurate survey of sanitary sewer system structures to ensure vertical accuracy of structures. High-grade survey of structures ensured data collected would be reliable when imported into future modeling systems.
