Sarah Vanhooser Joins Horner & Shifrin as Project Manager
Horner & Shifrin, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Sarah Vanhooser, PE, as a Project Manager. Sarah brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in civil engineering and project management, further strengthening our commitment to delivering high-quality and innovative projects.
Sarah joins Horner & Shifrin with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Missouri University of Science & Technology. She is a registered Professional Engineer in Missouri.
Sarah has managed and led technical teams on a variety of projects, including roadway, trail, ADA, traffic signal, ITS, intersection, and drainage systems. Her expertise extends to project management, utility and railroad coordination, cost estimating and scheduling. Sarah has successfully delivered projects for clients such as MoDOT, Great Rivers Greenway, KDOT, ArDOT, St. Louis County, and more.
Sarah’s notable projects include the Route AC & Route D ADA Improvements & Safety Study, Route 180 ADA Improvements, and the Big Bend/I-44 Interchange for MoDOT, the Albert Drive Frontage Road project for a private client, and the St. Vincent Greenway & Deer Creek Greenway projects for Great Rivers Greenway.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Sarah has been actively involved in various leadership and community service roles. She was recently elected to the Board for Gateway Section of ITE (GSITE), and is also a recipient of the Engineers Without Borders Outstanding Service Award.
