Steve Donahue Named to ACEC College of Fellows

Horner & Shifrin is proud to announce that Steve Donahue, President, has been named to the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) College of Fellows for 2025. Each year, a select group of engineering leaders are nominated and accepted into the ACEC College of Fellows—an honor reserved for those whose careers reflect exceptional achievement, leadership, and service to the profession and their communities.

Steve is the seventh president in Horner & Shifrin’s history, joining the company in 1998. He has served on the Board of Directors and as an ESOP trustee since 2012, and has led the firm as President since 2016. Under his leadership, Horner & Shifrin has continued to grow and thrive, earning recognition as a Top Workplace by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch for nine consecutive years and being named to the Zweig Group Hot Firm list in 2025.

Steve’s commitment to community service stands out as a highlight of his achievements. Steve served as a paid on-call firefighter with O’Fallon Fire Rescue for 20 years, retiring in 2024 at the rank of captain. He also volunteers with the O’Fallon Panther Band Boosters and his church.
