Public Involvement

Horner & Shifrin runs public involvement programs for local and state agencies, from one-on-one stakeholder meetings to large-scale public informational meetings. On every project, we assess existing conditions and work directly with the public to address concerns about proposed infrastructure.

Our public involvement staff also educate the public on the planning process and the resources within a project study area and listen in return, so we understand what matters most to the people who live and work there.

We’ve worked with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) for many years, implementing its Context Sensitive Solutions (CSS) program to keep stakeholders engaged in a project continuously, from planning through design and construction.
